Resumo: O nosso laboratório tem o interesse de estudar a fisiologia vascular, com o foco na microcirculação cerebral e na contribuição de alterações moleculares no microambiente neurovascular para o processo de envelhecimento e desenvolvimento de doenças que acometem os sistemas nervoso e cardiovascular. Temos particular interesse nas vias intracelulares que participam do controle da vasomotricidade e regulação da perfusão cerebral, incluindo controle de modificações pós-transducionais, produção de segundos mensageiros e de processos inflamatórios.
Abstract: Our laboratory group studies vascular physiology, focusing on cerebral microcirculation and the contribution of molecular alterations in the neurovascular microenvironment to the aging process and the development of diseases affecting the nervous and cardiovascular systems. We are particularly interested in the intracellular pathways involved in vasomotor control and cerebral perfusion regulation, including the control of post-translational modifications, second messenger production, and inflammatory processes.
