Resumo: O Laboratório de Histofisiologia Evolutiva pesquisa os diferentes significados biológicos da fagocitose por meio de diversos modelos experimentais aplicados em diferentes metazoários de diferentes ambientes são apresentados. As publicações abordam a histofisiologia dos fagócitos entre alguns deuterestômios selecionados, investigando o papel dos fagócitos na fagocitose em si, durante a Inflamação e no processo de cicatrização/regeneração tecidual. Por último ainda investigam o papel dos fagócitos na construção e manutenção da identidade nos metazoários.
Abstract: The Laboratory of Evolutive Histophysiology investigates the different biological meanings of phagocytosis through different experimental models in metazoarians in different environmental conditions. The publications are about the histophysiology of phagocytes among some selected deuterostomians, seaching the role of the phagocytes during phagocytosis, during the inflammatory process and in wound healing/regeneration. They also investigate the purpose of phagocytes in the identity construction and maintenance in meatazoans.
