Symposium – New antimalarials: from drug discovery to clinical trials This two-day international symposium is co-organized by the Department of Parasitology of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences, University of São Paulo, Brazil, and the Centre for Malaria Research, Department of Microbiology,Tumor and Cell Biology, Karolinska Institute, Solna, Sweden. Between 19 and 20 December, 2022, a series of conferences will cover several aspects of antimalarial drug development and testing, including drug discovery strategies, drug resistance surveillance, pharmacogenomics, and clinical trial design and execution. Students and post-doctoral fellows are invited to present their research projects and preliminary results as in-person short talks.All presentations will be in English. Student credits: Graduate students from the University of São Paulo or other Brazilian institutions who will attend the symposium in person can register into the graduate course “Scientific Bases of Malaria Eradication” (BMP5786) of the Graduate Program “Biology of the Host-Pathogen Relationships” and earn 2 credit units.
