Research interests: Regulatory factors acting on embryonic implantation processes and on the maternal-fetal interface
Resumo: O grupo tem interesse em diferentes áreas de investigação e inclui cientistas de diferentes unidades da USP e de universidades nacionais e internacionais. Os esforços de investigação deste grupo são inseridos em três categorias temáticas, como se segue: 1. Fatores regulatórios no processo de implantação (modelos humanos e roedores); 2. Inflamação na interface materno fetal (modelos humanos e roedores: diabetes, infecção, pré-eclâmpsia, imunossupressores); 3. Biologia celular do trofoblasto (modelos humanos e roedores: estresse do retículo endoplasmático).
Abstract: The Laboratory for Studies of the Trophoblast and Maternal-Fetal Interaction Biology targets different areas of investigation and includes scientists from different USP units and from different national and international universities. Research efforts in this group are inserted into three thematic categories, as following: 1. Regulatory factors at the implantation process (human and rodent models) 2. Inflammation at maternal fetal interface (human and rodent models: diabetes, infection, preeclampsia, immune suppressors) 3. Cellular biology of the trophoblast (human and rodent models: endoplasmic reticulum stress).
