Resumo: O controle neural cardiorrespiratório ocorre por uma rede de neurônios do tronco encefálico que orquestram sinalizações para manter a homeostasia. Em doenças neurodegenerativas este controle apresenta disfunção anatomofuncional. Sua pesquisa busca entender os geradores do desbalanço entre o dano e reparação celular atuando na investigação de mecanismos neurais e de sinalização intracelular nos núcleos de controle neural cardiorrespiratório.
Abstract: Cardiorespiratory neural control occurs through a network of neurons in the brainstem that orchestrate signals in order to maintain homeostasis. In neurodegenerative diseases this control suffers from intense anatomofunctional dysfunction. Her interests seek to understand the imbalance between cell damage and repair by investigating neural mechanisms and intracellular signaling in cardiorespiratory neural control nuclei.
