Candidates from USP or other Universities with a Doctor’s degree from any Brazilian or international institution are eligible.
NOTE: Applications of candidates without a Doctor’s degree might be accepted if previously approved by the Research Council, Research Commission and the Congregation of the respective USP unity.
The request for participation in the program should be made by an USP Professor and approved by the Department Council to which the research collaborator will be associated.
Required Documents:
- Registration Form (approved by the Department Council, stamped and signed by the Research Collaborator and the Supervisor);
- Copy of the Research Project (featuring the formulation of the problem, objectives, justification, methodology and schedule with workload justification);
- Work Plan detailing all activities, with justifications and schedule;
- Assessment of merit issued by a Department indicated evaluator;
- A copy of the Term of Research Approval issued by the Committee of Ethics in Research in Human Beings and Committee of Ethics in the Use Of Animals (CEPSH and CEUA), when appliable;
- A copy of the Doctor Degree Certificate;
- A copy of updated Curriculum Lattes (CVs will not be accepted). Visit https://wwws.cnpq.br/cvlattesweb/pkg_cv_estr.inicio to register your curriculum in the Lattes platform;
- Copies of CRNM and CPF;
- Modality with scholarship: Copy of the Grant Contract issued by the funding Institution (FAPESP, CNPq, CAPES and others).
- Modality with leave from employer: Term of Aknowledgement (Annex I), filled with all required information and signed by the Institution’s authorized representative and by the candidate (except the President of the Research Commission);
- Modality without leave from employer: Signed Declaration of Aknowledgement from managment/supervisor stating agreement with the execution of research activities during work hours;
- Modality with no scholarship: Annex II, filled with all required information and signed by the candidate (except the President of the Research Commission);
- Required for all modalities: Declaration of Aknowledgement of Intelectual Property Rights (Annex III);
- Required for all modalities Term of Accession (Annex IV), filled with all required information and signed by the candidate (except the Unit’s Dean).
Required Documents for Program EXTENSION
Extension should be requested within 40 days from the final date of the program.
- Extension request form – approved by the Department Council (signed and stamped), and signed by the research collaborator and the supervisor;
- Partial Report of activities: featuring Introduction, Objectives, Methodology, Partial Results, Discussion, Partial Conclusions and references;
- Assessement of the partial report issued by a Department indicated evaluator;
- Updated Work Plan and Schedule of activities (with workload justification);
- Modality with scholarship: Copy of the Grant Contract issued by the funding Institution (FAPESP, CNPq, CAPES and others).
- Modality with leave from employer: Term of Aknowledgement (Annex I), filled with all required information and signed by the Institution’s authorized representative and by the candidate (except the President of the Research Commission);

Required Documents for Program CONCLUSION
The Final Report must be submitted within 60 days from the final date of the program. If you fail to meet this deadline, your affiliation to the program will be terminated and the certificate will not be issued.
- Program Conclusion Form approved by the Department Council (signed and stamped), and signed by the research collaborator and the supervisor;
- Final Report adherent to the Work Plan and approved by the supervisor, featuring Introduction, Objectives, Methodology, Final Results, Discussion, Final Conclusions and references, including the activities developed during the program: activities on education (undergraduate and graduate), research and publications.
IMPORTANT: Modality with scholarship – copy of Term of Approval and Research Collaborator Final Report issued by the supporting Institution.
