The Culture and Extension Commission of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences (CCEx – ICB) was created on the December 21, 1989 by the Intitute’s Congregation. Since then, CCEx had the presidents bellow:
1989-1996: Professor Doctor Sebastião Timo Iaria (Microbiology)
1996-1997: Professor Doctor Francisco Gacek (Physiology)
1997-2003: Professor Doctor Margarida de Mello Aires (Physiology)
