The ICB Human Research Ethics Committee is an independent ethics board with advisory, deliberative, decisory and educational attributions, with multidisciplinary and multi-professional composition, subjected to the National Research Ethics Comission (CONEP).
Its primary function is to evaluate the legal and ethical aspects of human research projects developded by ICB students, staff, researchers and professors.
The Comittee assists and orients researchers and research participants, watching over compliance to guidelines and regulations and protecion of the rights of all parts involved in the projects.
CEPSH follows the Resolution 466/2012 from the National Health Council, Ministry of Health (CNS/MS), other valid complimentary regulations, as well as the Norma Operacional (operating standard) nº 001/2013.
